Entrance to the questionnaire

Hello and Shalom,

My name is Simon Shimshon Rubin, and I am a professor of clinical psychology at the University of Haifa. My colleagues and I have spent many years deepening our understanding of loss and bereavement. Even now, there is much left to learn about the process of losing someone close and its impact over time on family and community.

Losing a loved one is a difficult event for everyone, but the ways of dealing with this event are many and varied. We hope that with your help and with a little of your time, we can gather information that will help us get a better understanding about the experience of loss. At the same time, it will help us understand ways of responding and coping methods. These in turn will help us provide the most appropriate assistance to those who will experience loss in the future. Therefore, the information we can obtain with your help will make a practical contribution to others. Not only the bereaved, but also those people who work in the field of mental health and counseling will be able to learn more about this human experience with the help of those who take part in the studies of the center. The present study of the International Center for Research for the study of loss, bereavement and human resilience allows users who have experienced personal loss to complete a number of different questionnaires and to get general feedback about the responses. Of course this feedback does not constitute a psychological or medical evaluation. Nonetheless, it does reflect how the responses compare to others who have lost someone dear to them.

Clicking “RESEARCH” will direct you to a fuller explanation of what participation in our studies involves. .
Thank you,
Simon Shimshon Rubin and the research team.
