Welcome to the research and feedback section of our site.
In this area, there are several different questionnaires for participants to answer. Your participation will help us expand our knowledge and contribute to international research in the field of loss and bereavement. In addition, it is possible for respondents who experienced a loss themselves to receive personal feedback based on their answer's.

Before you consent to participate in this research, you should know the following:
Privacy and confidentiality:
1. Study participation is anonymous and is voluntary.
2. During the study will be asked to fill in some demographic questions about yourself (no name) and your relationship with the person who died. All information will be treated as confidential and encrypted to protect your privacy.
3. To obtain feedback on the questionnaire, you will be asked to provide an email address. If you do not wish to receive feedback, you should fill out the questionnaires without giving your e-mail.
4. Although your email comes to you, the level of privacy in emails vary greatly. Many times, other persons may have access to your mail without your consent. 
5. Agreeing to Email delivery of feedback can be decided twice. You may agree now at the beginning. You can also wait till after you have completed the questionnaires before you agree to request feedback and provide us with an email address for you.

6. Protection of participants in the study is done according to the standard required for research.
7. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the University of Haifa, approval number 159/11.

Decisions to stop participation :
1. Please note that you can stop your participation in the study freely and at any given moment. 
2. You may also choose to take a break and return to complete the study later (48 hours) or decide not to. In any event, we appreciate your help and accept your decision. Questionnaires
1. The first questionnaire to be completed is followed by other questionnaires related to loss and resilience. At this time, we will provide feedback on only some of the questionnaires.
2. The main questionnaire consists of 4 parts, and contains 70 questions. Completion takes between 20-40 minutes.Please keep in mind that addressing the experience of loss is a painful topic for almost all of us. Reading the questionnaires may raise feelings, thoughts and memories which may be experienced as sad and painful, calming and reassuring, or both .
– If you find it very difficult to continue, feel free to take a break or to consider stopping participation altogether. Your emotional well being is our first consideration.
– If you think it warranted, you may wish to consider talking with a counselor, physician, psychologist or social worker about your feelings.

 PARTICIPATION – INFORMED CONSENT

I agree to participate in the study available on the site of the International Center for the Study of Loss, Bereavement and Human Resilience. The questionnaires that I am asked to complete deal with my response to loss and bereavement. Participation is voluntary and I understand the goal of the research is to contribute to international research dealing with loss and bereavement.

The conditions for participation include the following: 
1. I know I can stop my participation at any time.
2. I am aware that part of the study deals with personal issues that may trigger painful feelings that involve myself and/or my experience of the loss of a person close to me.

3. I am aware that the study is conducted according to the rules of confidentiality and anonymity I will not be asked to provide identifying information about me such as my name or home address.
4. If I wish to receive general feedback about my responses, I understand that I will be required to provide an email address. It will then be my responsibility to protect the confidentiality and privacy of my own email.
5. I understand that my participation in the research requires me to declare that I am over the age of 18 and have lost someone who is close and / or meaningful to me.Proceeding to the next step means that I hat I have read, understood and agreed to the terms of participation in the study.
